According to journalist Emma Sanders, no progress has been made in the situation surrounding goalkeeper Lize Kop. Manchester United has attempted to sign her from Leicester, but Leicester does not want to sell. No agreement has been reached regarding a transfer fee, and it appears that she will remain with Leicester. As far as is known, she is not for sale.
Leicester is a club with a smaller budget for bringing in new players. When fit, Lize Kop has regularly played an important role for the club. Since all the clubs in the Women’s Super League are filled with star players due to a booming transfer market, and Leicester City is somewhat lagging behind, they may be holding on to the goalkeeper who was also important this year for the Dutch national team as a replacement for the injured Daphne van Domselaar.
Next Monday I talk about the Women’s Super League in de FC Leeuwinnen Podcast Club introductions part 2.
