Jackie Groenen extends contract at PSG

Jackie Groenen has extended her contract with Paris Saint-Germain by two years, keeping her at the club until 2027. This is great news for both Groenen and the club, as she has become a key player for PSG, consistently starting in the lineup and being featured prominently in the club’s promotional activities. Groenen seems to be thoroughly enjoying her time in Paris.

Alongside Romée Leuchter, who also has a contract until 2027, Groenen’s extended stay solidifies her presence at the club. Meanwhile, Lieke Martens, who is under contract until 2025, is currently pregnant and is expected to have limited or no involvement on the pitch this season. Martens has hinted at retiring from football, with rumors circulating about a possible move to Lazio. It’s possible that her time at PSG might be coming to an end.

For Oranje fans, Groenen’s contract extension is a positive sign. At 29, Groenen could still be a key player for the Netherlands at the 2027 World Cup in Brazil. Although much can change between now and then, her commitment to continuing her football career, especially with Martens and other veterans potentially retiring after the 2025 European Championship, is reassuring. It’s good to know that a crucial player will remain active at a top club for the foreseeable future.
