AMSTERDAM – Daphne van Domselaar will be presented at Arsenal in the coming days. According to Telegraaf, Sources close to the English top club confirm that the goalkeeper of the Dutch national team has said yes to ‘The Gunners’. For Van Domselaar, who played for Aston Villa last season, this will be her second English adventure.
The transfer has been cirkeling around for moths. Jonas Eidevall’s team was looking for a top goalkeeper following the departure of Canadian goalie Sabrina D’Angelo, and the 24-year-old Van Domselaar is regarded as one of the best female goalkeepers in the world. She will now compete for a spot with Austria goalkeeper Manuela Zinsberger who has played 18 of the 22 WSL games. It’s unclear if Manuela will stick around at Arsenal.
