Sarina Wiegman is one of the most successful national coaches in women’s football ever, with an impressive track record. However, the past year has been challenging for the successful coach with the Lionesses. She is now at the beginning of a period where she must continue to develop herself. Wiegman has extended her contract with the Lionesses until the 2027 World Cup. This means she will be coaching them longer than she coached the Oranje Leeuwinnen. After four years with the Dutch team, the first issues began to emerge, but she didn’t need to address them because she moved to England. Now, after almost three years, she finds herself at the same point with the Lionesses as she was with the Dutch team. This time, she must address the problems herself!
